Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Mrs Trembath and Mrs Smith
To start our Fun Day off...
To start the day off we went on the Mission Impossible inflatable. Wow it was really big and super long! So much energy needed to get up those ladders but worth it for the big slide at the end!
We later went on the Bouncy Castle and scootered in the carpark. We made crafts in our classroom and played games. I think we all had a great day and a big sleep that night!
Fun Day Friday
In between our activities we stayed inside in the shade and made Christmas Crackers with real poppers! Tayla from Pakuranga College came and made them with us - she is going to train as a teacher at University next year! We loved having her in our room this year as part of the Gateway programme.
In the late part of the day we had a quick water slide and it was great timing as the clouds were starting to cover the sky. But we all whizzed down the slide and had great fun!
Laaibah's model volcano and reaction experiment for Teach the Teacher
Laaibah demonstrated her Teach the Teacher to us as part of this term's student led learning.
She was great at explaining how the vinegar and baking soda reacted. She gave clear instructions for the experiment procedure.
We all think we can make a model volcano in the Summer holidays using all sorts of materials we can find around our homes. We discussed how we could do that.
Thank you Laaibah for taking the time to research and demonstrate your own learning, and share it with us!
Koru Whanau Assembly end of year Celebration - GEMS and Learning for Life Awards
We are ready to rock and roll at the Assembly - Santa Claus is coming to town!
Jessica Caprice Aston and Yi Fan were selected from our class for the GEMS and Learning for Life awards which embody the values of our school. Congratulations!
We are all looking forward to relaxing in the holidays under the shade of a tree!

Hi there parents - a paper copy of this should have come home yesterday - Monday - hope the Random Acts of Kindness are going well!!
Random Acts of Kindness in Your Home
Spelling and Reading homework have been replaced by these Random Acts of Kindness.
Over the next 2 weeks put this sheet somewhere where you can always see it. Carry out the Random Acts and colour in the box as you do it. Bring it back to school before Fun Day.
